Few home upgrades get a bigger reaction for the money than frameless shower glass. Walk into a bathroom with a frameless Euro-style enclosure and it instantly feels bigger, cleaner, and more considered. Less like a standard bathroom, more like somewhere you’d pay to stay.

Utah homeowners have been catching on fast. Shower glass installations have become one of our most-requested spring services at Jones Paint & Glass, and our work has been featured in both the Utah Valley and St. George Area Parades of Homes. Here’s why spring is the right time to make this move, and what to know before you start.

The Problem With Traditional Shower Enclosures

Most homes built before 2015 have one of three options: a tub-shower combo with a curtain, a framed glass enclosure with heavy metal borders, or a sliding door unit that collects grime in the tracks and never fully dries. These worked fine for their time, but they visually shrink your bathroom and tend to look dated fast.

A frameless enclosure eliminates that visual clutter. The glass panels are custom-cut to your exact dimensions, held in place with clean minimalist hardware, and sealed neatly at the edges. Your tile work, natural light, and actual design choices get to show up the way they were meant to.

Why Spring Is the Right Time

Booking in spring means you beat the summer rush. Our installation teams stay busy from June through August and lead times grow accordingly. Get on the schedule in April or May and your bathroom is done before the heat peaks and before out-of-town guests arrive.

Spring is also when people tend to reassess their spaces. After months indoors you notice things: that track on your shower door that never quite dries, the way the old enclosure makes the room feel smaller than it is. Spring is when that finally stops being something you’re used to.

What to Expect From a Jones Paint & Glass Installation

We start with a free in-home consultation. One of our specialists visits, takes precise measurements, and walks you through the options: glass type, thickness, hardware finish, and edge treatment. We work with brushed nickel, matte black, polished chrome, and other finishes, and we can handle virtually any layout, including custom angles, half-walls, and walk-in designs.

Every installation uses tempered safety glass as standard. Each piece also gets our Scargard 2 protective coating, an EPA-approved finish that makes the glass harder and more scratch-resistant without changing how it looks. It’s part of why our installations hold up better over time than what you’ll find from most glass companies in Utah.

Most jobs are completed in a single day once your glass is fabricated.

Consider Replacing the Mirror at the Same Time

A lot of customers replace their bathroom mirror during the same visit. Jones Paint & Glass cuts custom mirrors to any size or shape, including frameless vanity designs that run to the ceiling. The Scargard 2 coating comes standard on those, too.

Getting both done in one visit is more efficient and leaves the room feeling finished rather than half-updated.

It’s More Affordable Than Most People Expect

Custom shower glass is available through financing at most of our locations. The monthly payments tend to surprise people in a good way for a project that changes how you feel about one of the most-used rooms in your home. Ask us about current terms when you schedule.

Schedule Your Free Estimate

We’ll come to you, bring samples, walk you through the options, and give you a clear quote. No pressure, no surprises. Jones Paint & Glass has seven Utah locations: Provo, American Fork, Payson, Cedar City, St. George, Roosevelt, and Vernal.
